oldest saudi manSheikh Awad bin Abdul Aziz bin Saifi Al Qarni, believed to be Saudi Arabia’s oldest man has died at the age of 120 years, leaving behind 447 children, grand children and great grand children, including his oldest son aged 98 years.

Arabic daily Sabq reported that the Sheikh was born in 1893 and witnessed  the  19th, 20th and 21st centuries. The Sheikh, who was chief of his tribe for a large part of his life,  left behind 24 sons and daughters from several wives.

He was a much loved person by all who knew him and people remember him as a good, wise man who loved poetry and was conscious of his surroundings, the newspaper reported.
