Saudi Arabia ranks first among G20 countries in the visitor flow. According to the latest report released by the WTO (World Tourism Organization), the Kingdom exhibits outstanding achievement in the incoming flow of foreign tourists. Visitor increase rate of 121 percent was reported from January to July, 2022 .
Further, reports show a 14% growth in the kingdom’s tourism industry during the post pandemic period. Saudi Arabia has evolved into one of the fastest growing and competitive tourist sectors in the world today. These results also confirm the goals of the Saudi Vision 2030, to empower the national economy through tourism.
The Tourism Minister Ahmed Al Khateeb, appreciated King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for their astute leadership and consistent support to set a new benchmark in the world tourism industry. The G20 ministerial meeting was held in Bali, Indonesia on 26 September,2022.
